| 内容記述 | For a pair of spherical curves P and P', we introduce a quantity called the stable double point number of P and P', denoted sd(P, P'). A trivial spherical curve is a spherical curve with no double point, denoted O. In this paper, we prove two results relevant to the question whether sd(P,O) ≦ d([P])+1 holds or not, where d([P]) denotes the double point number. One is a positive result. Concretely speaking, we show that each 2-bridge spherical curve denoted C(a_1, a_2,...,a_n) satisfies sd(C(a_1, a_2,...,a_n) ,O) ≦ d([C( a_1, a_2,...,a_n)])+1. The other is a negative result. Concretely speaking, we show that the pretzel spherical curve denoted P(m;5) (m: odd integer, ≧ 5) satisfies sd(P(m;5), O)=d([P(m;5)])+2. | |||||||||||
