| 内容記述 | This report is one in a series of investigative studies that we have been conducting until now about Uygur peoples' costume and clothing customs in different areas of China, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. This time we set the Hami District, which is located in the eastern end of the autonomous region, as an investigative area. It is generally said mostly to take on the influence of the Han race. We visited Hami to investigate from September 8 to 15, 2004. In our investigation, we principally conducted oral interviews and observation in house visits, and made photographic records. We report the following contents of our investigation about which we have formed a viewpoint. 1) Preparations for, and appearances of, prayer of Muslim Uygur women ; everyday colthes of Aggi who had visited Mecca ; Muslim expressions in modern clothing. 2) Bridal costumes in wedding ceremonies ; marriage presents ; circumstances of wedding ceremonies. 3) Wearing of ixtan (trousers), makeup and accessories, pierced earrings and short hair of children ; the influence of the Han-race culture in Hami. | |||||||||||
