| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to elicit the abilities of presenile dementia patients (hereinafter: “patients") and consider providing support for developing new lifestyles through nursing education. The subjects comprised the patients, their families, and nursing professionals. Materials, participation in dementia cafes and family gatherings, and specialists (including nurses) were investigated. The following five findings were revealed. 1) The Showa period that presenile individuals had experienced created a culture that did not respect the human rights of the socially vulnerable, resulting in negative perceptions by such patients. 2) To live in a familiar environment, the patients required support to reconstruct relationships of mutual aid with other residents. 3) A lack of policies for patients and a low sense of self-efficacy were issues encountered by specialists at regional comprehensive support centers and in-home long-term care support offices. Such specialists were responsible for constructing regional comprehensive care systems; therefore, developing the ability to make proposals regarding support directionality is required. 4) Dementia cafes are an important resource in creating communities for presenile dementia patients. 5) Home nursing training sessions improve the sense of self-efficacy of cooperating elderly individuals and can be universally applied to patients. Support for coping with anxiety related to home nursing and creating systems for on-site nursing education is necessary for cultivating nurses who can support patients. We proposed a home nursing education program linked to the construction of a regional comprehensive care system to support patients and education to support patients utilizing university educational resources. | |||||||||||
