| 内容記述 | The aim of this functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study was to evaluate negative deflections in blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) signals during motor execution of left or right hand movements, and motor imagery of left or right hand movements. We observed the Negative BOLD responses during left and right hand movements in the superior frontal gyrus (SFG), medial frontal gurus (MFG), precuneus, ipsilateral primary motor cortex (MI), premotor area (PM), dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), and middle occipital gyrus (MOG), while those of Negative BOLD during motor imagery of left and right hand movements were found in the SFG/MFG and precuneus. These findings indicate that the SFG/MFG and precuneus, which involved regions similar to those of the default mode network, were involved in the neural networks of Negative BOLD during both motor execution and motor imagery. Also, deactivations in the ipsilateral MI, PM, DLPFC, and MOG during motor execution were added to the default neural networks. The present findings extend the applicability of BOLD signals by comparing Negative and Positive signals in order to understand the brain functions involved in motor execution and motor imagery. | |||||||||||||||||
