| 内容記述 | This paper focuses on the “interactionist theory of deviance" newly proposed in a rejoinder made by Becker in the Outsiders: Studies in the Sociology of Deviance. The following three points are extracted as new possibilities conceivable on the basis of the "interactionist theory of deviance:" (a) Triplanar relationship: a possibility for shedding light on the whole picture of the labeling process and also on the interest of labelers and label accepters by conceiving of the triplanar relationship among labelers, labelees, and label accepters. (b)The existence of a singular labelee who does not have a deviant sub-culture: a possibility of showing lablees' difficulty in their daily life. (c) Labeling process in daily life groups: labeling is performed more often in daily life groups and also can be inferred to have no further consequence in many cases: a possibility that this sheds light on the wax and wane of a labeling process. (a) through (c) correspond to the following three points considered in the Outsiders : 1. biplanar relationship (between labelers and lablees), 2. labelees having a deviant sub-culture, and 3. labeling processes in the whole society. (a) through (c) must exist along with 1 through 3 in accordance with what Becker calls truth tables (combinations) in the Tricks of the Trade. Investigation and research on those three points from (a) through (c) enable presenting the “interactionist theory of deviance" covering the whole society as well in a more empirical manner and shed light on the emergence, wax, and wane of the labeling process itself. In this sense, those three point from (a) through (c) are considered to have a possibility of deepening the “interactionist theory of deviance" further. | |||||||||||
