内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 After clarifying the actual conditions of the practical training of Indonesian technical interns in Japan, this article attempts to explore whether human resource development, which the Indonesian government states as the objective of this training, has genuinely been accomplished. The research methods were a questionnaire survey and an interview survey. The questionnaire survey was conducted in two ways: using Google Docs, by which the technical intern trainees in Japan answered over the net, and the method of directly distributing the questionnaire by hand. The survey period was September 28 - November 27, 2016 and June 9 - November 1, 2017, with the number of questionnaire responses totaling 507. Of these, a total of 35 interns, 21 men and 14 women were interviewed. The interview period was from April 2017 to January 2018. Furthermore, 5 former trainees, 4 men and 1 female, who had returned to Indonesia, were interviewed in Yogyakarta from March 1 to 5 in 2017. The salary of Indonesian trainee and technical interns is about 3 to 5 times that of the same work in Indonesia and remittance is seen as filial piety as well as an important means for interns to maintain their own identity. By remitting a portion of their salary to their parents for the purpose of rebuilding their houses or buying fields, they feel that they can present themselves to their neighbors, relatives and friends as "a person who has succeeded". After returning home, the intern trainees choose to go to university, start a business, or get a job in a company, confirming that the money saved through the training was useful. All interviewees answered that human resources have been developed, specifically in the areas of daily experiences in Japan, discipline in the workplace and Japanese language ability.
