| 内容記述 | The motions involved with gripping an object provide indication of adaptation to external stimulus by individuals, which involves cognitive function. The purpose of the present study was to clarify the characteristics of choice of hand grip on a bar by comparing overhand and underhand grip styles. Furthermore, the relationship between grip style choice and attentional style was analyzed using the Test of Attentional and Interpersonal Style (TAIS). The subjects were 28 right-handed female college students. Photographs of a bar, 50 cm in length and 2.5 cm in diameter, were taken to show 6 different angles (0˚, 30˚, 60˚, 90˚, 120˚, 150˚). The photographs were presented to the subject's frontal plane randomly and each was asked to produce a gripping motion with their dominant hand. All subjects selected an underhand grip for the bar presented at 0˚and an overhand grip for that presented at 90˚, 120˚, and 150˚, consistently. On the other hand, the consistency of grip response to the bar at 30˚ and 60˚ was reduced, as the choice of grip for those two angles varied among the subjects. Also, grip response to the bar at 30˚ and 60˚ of all subjects can be patterned in two groups. It was suggested that subjects who selected overhand grip to the bar at 30°with hard pronation of forearm inputted too much visual information about stimulus photographs. From these results, there is a possibility that choice of hand grip on bar presented at different angles have relation to attentional style. | |||||||||||
