| 内容記述 | This research investigated the actuality of Motomori Kimura's educational philosophy by considering Hajime Tanabe's influence on it. In the paper's first part, how Kimura accepted Tanabe's conception of shu(species)and applied it to his theory“Education of the Nation"is examined based on three important studies about Tanabe's influence on Kimura: Ohnishi (2011), Otabe(2010), and Morita(2015). The second part examines Kimura's conception of “Body"as the medium through which the will works on objective reality—or the individual works on historical reality. Otabe and Morita have also shown how Tanabe's theory influenced Kimura on this point. Based on preceding examinations, the paper's last part reconsiders the actuality of Kimura's educational philosophy about“Idea"and“Politics"for teachers. Kimura's conception of“expression-formation,"which the Idea of education generates in educational practice, can be a reaction standpoint against Politics that regulate education from outside. On the other hand, Kimura's theory cannot completely avoid the risk of becoming involved in nationalism and being abused, as did Tanabe's. How to cope with this ambivalence is one problem into which we should inquire independently, according to our current historical reality and educational practices. | |||||
