| 内容記述 | Jimyo-in is a Buddhist temple of Tendai sect located in Nishi-fukase, Yamagata-shi (the former name was Takatomi-cho), Gifu Prefecture. This temple is founded by NAGAI Kichiami in Nanboku-cho period, and the first priest was Jikkai. Jimyo-in owned vast temple estate and was a major temple functioned as a cultural and religious center in Takatomi. In Edo period, Jimyoin received Shuin-jo (a vermilion-seal certificate) from the Edo shogunate. Jimyo-in was Dangisho (Buddhist seminary) and an important base of the Tendai doctrine in Mino. Even now, Jimyo-in maintains a collection of many Buddhist books. In 2005, a research team including me investigated into such Jimyo-in's books, and published a library catalogue and reprinted "Juji-ki" (a material describing biographies of successive chief priests). The purpose of this note is to present a bibliography of "Juji-ki" and to consider the Jimyo-in's history on the basis of "Juji-ki." | |||||||||||
