| 内容記述 | The Intention of this study is to determine some basic images and factors relating to the constraction of lighting beams. In this study, the factors of lighting beams which are taken into consideration are the direction, the quantity, the strength and the position of entrance. The technique adopted is the semantic differential method (SD method). the results are as follows: 1)Taste A downward lighting beam is like more than an upward, more especially a beam toward a lower level than the eye. A weak beam, or a beam spotted in the inner part of the space and whose position of entrance is the front wall is not liked. 2)Factor analysis As an image of lighting beam, three factors-Activity, Mysteriousness, Evaluation-are determined by principal component analysis. The factor of Activity has most effect upon the image. 3)Factor score From the point of view of factor, the characteristics of each lighting beam are clearly established. A beam with a large positive score in Activity has a large negative score in Mysteriousness. A beam scored high in Activity is an upward beam or a beam directed toward an observer. On the other hand, a beam that keeps away from an observer, or a weak beam, is scored high in Mysteriousness and non-Activity. The beam parallel to an observer is associated with non-Mysteriousness. Evaluation has smaller effects of quantity and strength than the other two factors, but it's tendency in scoring shows similar results to those obtained in the taste investigations. For the above reason, from the point of view of design' the good or bad qualities of the lighting beam are, to some extent, capable of being measured by the factor of Evaluation. 4)Quantitative analysis From analysis based on the direction of the beams, it was discovered that the quantity has an effect upon Activity and Mysteriousness, the horizontal direction an effect upon Activity, the vertical direction an effect upon Evaluation, and the strength an effect upon all factors. Further, from analysis by position of a spot, the following finding emerged. Mysteriousness is under the influence of the position of a beam's entrance. The influence on Activity of the spotlighted wall and the spotted position is strong, and the brightness of the spot has some influence over all factors. | |||||
