| 内容記述 | This paper is on octagonal constructions in Kikuchi-jo, one of ancient mountain forts in Japan, located in Kumamoto Prefecture. In this fort site, they found evidences of some octagonal constructions. After the archaeological work, they have made the site-park. They thought that the octagonal evidences was the dram-tower and built one octagonal building in that site-park that is three floor, roof-tiled. However, I doubt its reconstructed building. In this paper, I described why I doubt it, comparing with some evidences in Korea, China and Vietnam which I think they have same characters. Unfortunately I cannot find similar evidences in Japan. My conclusion is that the octagonal construction in Kikuchi-jo is one kind of ritual construction. It is difficult to get the visual image of that construction. | |||||
