| 内容記述 | The task of this paper is to examine how Jurgen Habermas interpreted F. Schiller's "On the Aesthetic Education of Man: In a Series of Letters" in order to verify theoretically the assumption that 'the aesthetic' is significant for publicness of education because it shows a prototype of 'antifoundationalistic' founding, which was raised in the preceding paper. Habermas finds in "Aesthetic Letters" a harbinger of his own thought that criticizes 'colonization of life-world' and defends 'modernity as an incomplete project'. "Aesthetic Letters" also took in advance Habermas' criticism against 'aesthetic postmodernism' which affirms 'aestheticization' of life and politics, because Schiller expected 'the aesthetic' to reconcile 'Entzweiungen' (division and cleavages) of modernity but never proceeded to 'Identitatsphilosophie' like Hegel and Schelling and strictly limited the domain of aesthetic 'Schein'. The most important point is that Habermas finds in "Aesthetic Letters" a harbinger of his own theory of 'communicative rationality'. In his theory, the social order and the communication that discusses its legitimacy can never have any concrete ideal as their foundation. They should be based just on the communication itself. However, In the analysis of the process Habermas found, or supposed, 'the ideal situation of speech', which is so called 'the ideal that is not ideal'. Such an idea corresponds to Schiller's argument on the aesthetic 'Schein'. We can find there a theoretical prototype of 'antifoundationalistic' founding of publicness of education. | |||||
