| 内容記述 | In Japan, many of the women leave their job when they have the first child. However, how women with infants really feel about having a job is not fully understood yet in the previous research. We interviewed women who have children of 5 years old or under to explore 1) Attitudes toward having a job, 2) Factors which make it difficult to work outside, and 3) The needs for the childcare support system. Although majority of the interviewees wanted to have a job in the future, most of them wanted to do so after their children get older enough. It was found that women feel anxiety toward their abilities after they are away from the work environment for long time. “Illness of children", “Anxieties over own abilities", and “Lack of support from their own parents" were identified as the barriers to work outside. The needs for the childcare support were very diverse, which suggested the existence of the gaps between the current childcare support system and actual needs. | |||||||||||
