| 内容記述 | It is in common that aging society is growing fast both in Japan and China. However there are essential differences in the growing process. This article focuses on the period from 1950s till now, i.e. 60. years after the war, to deliberate the social background which essentially affected the aged-parents support, such as family styles, family functions, changes of family cycle, changes of population structures and innovation of parent-support systems, and else, to define the current situation of parent-support in rural area & urban area in China and Japan. Find out the characters in both countries. In the same time, lays out outlines of solving parent-support problems. This paper submits the following three points:(1) In China, due to the promotion of family planning & social evolution, the birthrate is declining and the population of elderly in increasing, thus the effort to support elderly society has become weaker & weaker. Young people emigrate to work away from their hometown to big cities have also weaken the economy basic of supporting elderly populating in rural area in both China and Japan. (2) The style of giving and receiving support between the sons and parents are different in China and Japan. In the rural area, Japanese parents are more like to live with the eldest son. But in China all of the sons have to support the aged-parents equally. (3) What proper measures and effective planning should be taken to solve the problem of the elderly are problems faced by Chinese and Japanese government. Such as take good balance between social security system, family support system, social welfare and services. | |||||||||||
