| 内容記述 | This paper is an attempt to understand the significance of meeting up with oneself in memory of own childhood by analyzing narratives told by six Japanese Americans and a Japanese Brazilian. The one's self in memory is considered as a consociate or convoy (Plath 1985 [1980]). The multiple ways of approaching oneself in memory of own childhood are found and examined to delineate relationships between one's life crafting and his or her self in memory of own childhood. The study contends that the findings have implications for improving or maintaining the quality of life among the elderly. | |||||||||||
