| 内容記述 | Contrary,to,face-to-face,acquaintanceship,in,small,towns,and,to,anonymity,in,megalopolises,middle-sized,towns,have,their,own,ways,of,knowing,about,others,in,the,same,town,or,area.,Sharing,personal,information,with,other,community,members,is,one,of,the,sustaining,forces,of,hometowns.,I,deal,with,retirement,announcements,which,appear,in,a,daily,newspaper,published,in,River,front.,Wisconsin,where,I,conducted,long-term,fieldwork,as,one,way,of,such,sharing.,All,retirement,announcements,are,from,the,newspaper's,"Community Accent",section,from,December,1984,to,October,1985.,Six,of,the,announcements,are,women's,and,thirty-four,are,men's.,I,analyze,their,features,to,delineate,the,meaning,of,sharing,work,experiences,in,the,context,of,a,local,community,life.,Although,the,announcements,are,exclusively,used,by,persons,who,retired,from,public,agencies,and,organizations,as,well,as,from,major,working,places,in,the,community,such,as,paper,mill,company.,I,argue,that,they,have,the,role,of,delivering,a,message,of,the,virtue,of,long-term,hard,work,in,the,local,community.,This,attitude,is,subtly,encouraged,in,the,culture,where,mainstreamers,are,encouraged,to,move,upward. | |||||
